When a piece invites you to dream not only while listening but especially while playing, it can only be Tiffany. For me, this piece embodies both timeless elegance and comforting warmth. A true feel-good piece that I love to open every concert with.
I filmed the video in the beautiful setting of the Wohnzimmer Bar in Dresden’s Neustadt district.
I have spoken several times with the composer Thomas Fellow about the background of the composition and worked with him on the interpretation. He was also present during the audio recording. Anyone who thinks of the film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” from 1961 when hearing the title Tiffany is exactly right. Thomas Fellow’s composition was deliberately crafted to capture the atmosphere of that era.
My advice to all guitarists: Grab the sheet music and get started!
PS: Available alongside other great pieces in the sheet music book Fingerfood XXL Vol. 1: 18 Crossover Pieces for Advanced Players by Thomas Fellow.
PPS: I play the piece with a capo on the 2nd fret – with the composer’s permission. Unfortunately, this idea came too late to be included in the sheet music book.
