Liss Alva
LISS ALVA presents contemporary music for acoustic guitar in her solo program, combining virtuosity and creativity with a wide range of sounds. Her repertoire spans from melodic pieces on the classical guitar to groovy crossover sounds shaped with effects, as well as fingerstyle on the western guitar.
For Liss Alva, music means more than interpretation – she understands it as a creative process.
Arranging and composing her own works is an integral part of her artistic work.
In addition to selected pieces from modern guitar literature, she also performs her own compositions and arrangements, creating a varied concert program that blends familiar pieces with completely new ones.
In Search of New Voices …
… she dedicates herself to the search for contemporary guitar literature that opens up new perspectives and has so far been rarely represented in concert programs.
A special focus is on works by female composers such as Karlijn Langendijk, Janet Noguera, or Fabienne Magnant.
With her program, she aims to make this music accessible to a wider audience and to expand the repertoire of the acoustic guitar with diverse voices.
