Flashback #1: Final concert at the Dresden University of Music

After four years of studying music, the moment had arrived: on Monday, June 30, 2025, I performed my bachelor’s final concert at the Theater am Wettiner Platz in Dresden.
The concert marked the successful completion of my bachelor’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden.

In line with the topic of my bachelor’s thesis, I focused my program on music composed by women and performed works by Karlijn Langendijk, Julie Malia, Janet Noguera, as well as my own composition for solo guitar: Macramé (Liss Alva).

I also incorporated the ‘Dresdener Music’, which has influenced me over the past years, into my program and performed works by my teachers Thomas Fellow and Stephan Bormann.

As a special guest, the Aeres Guitar Quartet was an essential addition. Together, we performed two arrangements I worked on during my studies: Sway by Michael Bublé and Take Me There by Grover Washington Jr.
I concluded the evening on the harp with the quartet piece Moons of Jupiter by female composer Janet Noguera.

The surprise of the evening was my encore, where I took advantage of my first public performance on the harp to play my opening piece Tiffany (Thomas Fellow) again in a newly arranged version for the harp. 🪉🎵
This was a special way to end my program of this evening.

Tops specially sewn for this occasion were also a must on this day:
